Handsome plane one of four waldgrave toolworks planes i own. i had upright received the plane and tried it out on a in particular gnarly piece of cherry that i had before gotten pretty nasty tearout with. no tearout, gritty as silk finish. and, this with the go aloft straight out of the box, without any adjustments to the woolly or sharpening of the blade. highly recommended.
