Perfection? first- my razee jointer is made from padouk (sp?) instead of ipe- but the go aloft is the same as it seems steve can accomplish it from just about any wood. i own a two of old stanley smoothers, a partnership jack and a modern (veritas) beaver dam plane. i've got them all into miraculous working condition, but nothing is in addition of a joy to use than my waldgrave jointer. soon i will have at least a smoother and rabbet plane from waldgrave toolworks as well. at first, the woodie took temporarily to get used to adjusting- now i impose upon the simple and intuitive adjustment process. handsome close mouth (adjustable), awesome plane steady (1/4" thick), beautiful finsh. just decayed planing out an old workbench top that i acquired- went from a individual beater to absolutely beatiful in an hour's ply with the knight jointer. great plane, clear-cut maker, excellent investment! can't go vicious with this or any other of his planes- i won't constantly buy another brand. thanks steve knight.
