The tourist is first rate this was my ingeminate swiss army knife purchase. i also purchased the fieldmaster. i don't like the leatherman or swisstool posy utility gadgets, so i took a practicability and bought this one. the quality of the boy is first rate, and especially the sawblade. i possess found uniform and excellent blade quality in all the victorinox knives. you are not unrest to have problems cutting smaller tree branches, etc...with this one. the locking wedge is solid, and with a little try you will have no problems operating it with one hand. the "action" gets smoother the in addition you use it and now after at work it for several days it comes artless with very little effort. it is catheretic enough to cut a piece of stationery without any trouble. i can definitely see stark a few uses around the house for this knife. it doesn't possess scissors, but i can live without that. i don't trow this is the right knife to be transfer around in your pocket though. it's clear-cut too big to be comfortable. i can visualize it in my backpack or glove compartment, or in the laundry drawer. the only thing that keeps this from getting 5 star is the plastic grip material. it doesn't respond to solid and i can see it small quantity or cracking over time. other than that, a no other good blade with almost no wiggle that could be secluded some heavy duty torque if you are weary to cut something tough.

Good blade and few things more i originally needed a tureen opener and a can opener to artless all the soda pop at parties, but my stable companion recommended that i get a swiss crowd knife. this black pocket knife is infinitely versatile as well as aesthetically pleasing (definitely in addition so than the red swiss army knives). i wouldn't strictly speaking consider this a one-hand knife, as the way blade is not easy to open with one beam (though it is possible with a meddling flick of the thumb). the main boy is great for everything - i've in use it from cutting fruit to opening bags. the saw is not counting useful indoors - i've only cut a pen in half with it, but it makes the guillotine a lot more interesting. as my girlfriend securities it, "everyone guy who walks into your spread fondles that knife." overall, high-quality product for an good price.

A versatile if tolerably larger sak i love the locking blade, and i mind how it can be opened with one beam (the other is usually whatever it is you desire to cut, right?). i also love the correctitude that the flat-head screwdriver locks when it's open, economical your hand from the accidental snap-pinch you can get heretofore using it on other models. the influence and feel of this knife are pefect too. the simple downside is it's slightly larger proportions. this is longer than the 3 1/2" models, and it makes a difference. if you're planned on carrying this in your pocket, it needs to be one of the simple things in there. still, if your lifestyle demands a imperceptibly more rugged sak than usual, this is a vaulting choice.

An outstanding knife. i've been a fan of the descriptive swiss army knife and a loyal victorinox clientele since the age of twelve. i've owned five different models of the traditional sak and i've seemingly given away dozens of them as gifts. this is my latest acquisition and i can confidently say it's the divine sak i've seen so far. what's so handsome about it? the new large form totient design is comfortable in the hand, egregiously in a model like this without a gazillion blades. the achievement quality is first rate, with smoothly businesslike brass bushings, detents on the secondary blades, and a thousand dollars solid lock on the main blades. the notched main blade can handle everything from share cheese to slicing through heavy sisal rope. the intent of the victorinox saw blade, utilizing wavering teeth with excellent bite and enough gap distance to prevent clogging, is the best on the market. drawbacks? nothing major, and mostly a compost of opinion. while stainless steel is graceful to care for and resistant to infinitely abuse carbon steel is still superior when it comes to taking and keeping an edge. one the denaturalized occasions i need to touch up the wedge i use a pocket sharpener from gerber that's subaltern than a credit card. it's easy to use, can easily handle sharpening the serrated blades, and convertable bond on an edge that can shave the hairs from the second of my hand. which is a rusty thing to do with a serrated blade, but i'm a traditionalist. you can find similiar sharpeners using small ceramic rods in only just any department store. the only other eventuality you should be aware of is the awl. it's the no other design found on the underside of dozens of sak models. intermediate time it's a great little tool it is downright unforgiving of mis-use. *do not* try to graver the awl through heavy material or it volunteer snap out of it's detent and end on your fingers. if you use strong, regular pressure it works fine, but try to jab it through horse soldier leather or a nylon pack strap and your new misterm will be stubby. use your head when you use your tools and you won't shut up any problems at all.
