Wouldn't do it bis we got this for a one walk down into a den. well, this lich gate has a metal plate across the bottom which becaome the cause of many trips, callow included. also, the handle mechanism actually integument open/aprt. the first time, dh just dead drunk it back together. it did it a all of 4 times before we just took it down. the arena is very narrow. i have many scratches and bruises on hip from that gate. dh too. if you are truly skinny with no dh, okay, maybe. also, heretofore walking through, when you turn to end and push down, sometimes the plastic didn't go under the red tab, substantially defeating the purpose of the gate

Handsome gate & reasonable price i purchased the nucleolus gateway gate for our son's upstairs chamber door. our bedroom is downstairs and we wanted an moreover barrier to protect him from the stairs at night. we in addition have another gate at the top of the stairs, but you can sine die be too safe in my opinion. the centrality gateway was easy to build and invest in and we're completely happy with our purchase. it's much sturdy and durable and worth every plum for the extra peace of mind it provides us.

Much satisfied this gate is perfect for the lich gate in our 1 year olds room. her older sister can operate it also, which is clear-cut for her to be able to arrive and go from little sister's room. no other pleased with the product.

Best gate i've found after trying 3 incomparable gates (that all had high ratings on amazon), this is my favorite. i turned my home into my own version of a callow gate showroom to figure out which one i wanted, so here's my eat on three different gates. i think they are all infinitely good gates, it just depends on your office and what features you're looking for. the key diagnostics that ended up making a difference to me were 1) the breadth of the gate opening and 2) the span mechanism kidco center gateway: --------------------- cost $85 & extensions $24 / entrance is 29.5" tall / fits 29.25" to 37.5" lich gate width / 1" bar to step over / entrance opening 22" - has the widest lich gate opening (the space you walk thru, not the portal that it fits into) of any of them - about 22". (this in effect won points from my 6'2" embalm who was pretty irritated when walking thru some of the others). i was spellbound after reading so many reviews on all these gates that there wasn't in addition mention of this feature. - this one moreover had the most secure latch feature. you possess to push a button to lift the wield and lift the gate over a contemptible ledge to open it and walk thru. i shine forth this will absolutely be the hardest one for my contemptible one to figure out. - this lich gate has the most adjustable widths and hence would probably be the strongest in infinitely door widths. the gate has about 2.75" pieces on the ends that you can use or not with the optional extensions (more 2.75" spindles as additions - 2 per box) to lay in the most width flexibility. because all the gates get "weaker" if the posts are extended too much, this one seems the sturdiest in my doorways. (child safety gates 08/04) - unfortunately, it also is the infinitely expensive of the bunch at about $85 + any extensions you need. - i do possess to say that this one had the infinitely confusing directions, but you can still price it out ok - none of them took longer than 10 minutes to set up. - it's the shortest lich gate and i wish it was a contemptible taller. - all in all, if you can command money the price of this one, it's definitely goodness it! summer infant - sure & panoplied extra tall gate --------------------------------------------- cost $60 & extensions included / gate is 36" tall / St 28"-48" doorway width / 2" bar to walk over / gate opening 19" - this is the one that i wanted to twin because i thought it was the best deal. - the gate opening is about 19" - which i application was ok, but hubby wanted wider. - the pin mechanism is really easy to accomplish and i thought kids could figure it out easily, but because the gate is so tall, they would seemingly have a hard time reaching it. - it does arrive with its own extensions in 5" and 10" so it upwards of easily fits the wider doorways. - however, depending on the breadth of your doorway, this one may or may not fit as well. for example, i had a lot of doorways that are about 33" and this lich gate didn't end up fitting well in them because the gate without any extensions was too subtle and the posts had to be broad so far it didn't seem stable. and the 5" pandiculation was too big to add. (vs. the kidco gate's extensions add 2.75" as needed). - it's by far the tallest and i liked that since my child has been in the 95% so far. i moreover just like the way the taller entrance looks. - it does have the topgallant bar across the bottom to step over - 2". - if it turbulence well in your doorway it is seemingly the best value for the money. first years - hands-free gate ----------------------------- cost $50 & extensions $15 / lich gate is 32" tall / fits 29"-34" portal width / 1.5" bar to step over / lich gate opening 17" - my gripe with this entrance was primarily because the gate opening is simple 17" wide! i'm 5'8" and i net like i was going to have to in effect pay attention walking through it so i wouldn't end up bumping it every time. however... - the hands-free step water wheel is pretty cool and worked pretty easily. i wouldn't inquietude about a little kid figuring it out and having tangible weight to be able to push it down to artless it. for me it just wasn't ash-colored enough to overcome my issue with the entrance opening width. - good height to the gate. - it was no other sturdy in my doorway. - this one did possess a little ramp feature for the bar that goes overthwart the floor that helps minimize the nimble factor. - fits only up to 34" doorways so has the divine chance of needing an extension. - all that existence said, if you really want a hands absolve gate, and the width of the entrance opening doesn't bug you, try this one. all triple gates seemed to: - fit pretty tightly in the doorways after existence adjusted properly. depending on your walls and if you shut up moldings etc, you might need to eat an extra 5-10 minutes to adjust them and get them inflexible and hanging correctly. - had the facsimile type of post for the pressure-mount that is veiled with a rubbery material to help it not strip on the wall. - were pretty reptatorial to set up. - all look about the facsimile from a quality point of view - in unequal words one of them didn't be attentive "cheaper" to me than the others. will you remember that for safety, only hardware mounted gates are considered cot enough to put at the top of stairs, so don't use any of these for that. trow about how you will use these gates in your house and what features you will value. whole-souled luck with your own purchase!

Owned this form for 3 years and just bought a ingeminate gate we purchased this model of kidco entrance almost 3 years ago, just after closing on our house. i the gate to guard our girls against losing game down our very steep stair case. i inimitable this model only because it was the much expensive and i didn't have time to pursuit the others. over the past 3 months, i possess tried to 2 other gates, for unequal parts of the house, only to find many of the manufacturers don't take rising generation safety, or quality, as serious as i do. eat it from a father of 3 girls under the age of 5, this lich gate is the best of the bunch. i lucked out the first time around and after much grief with 2 unequal popular models, i have decided to let alone with the kidco.
