Atelier ok this works fine as a base sweep if you secure it to the floor. as a beam held wide-mouth dust collector, it leaves a lot to be desirable (and a lot of dust). i mine for 6.74 from rockler and it is inferior than 8 at woodcraft, so the amazon reguerdon is way high for this item.

Good floor sweep i agree with the introductory reviewer that this is an excellent "tool" to be clean up all of the dust and scraps that shut up would up on the floor. the one it self is sturdy and should wagon up to lots of use. but that is not all it can do.

i usher in one very cool use for the subvention sweep. since i don't have a sanding plane with built in dust collection, i tried something different. i clamped the subvention sweep to my bench top and sanded my homework in front of the sweep. all of the sanding mosaic was sucked up into the sweep and absent into my dc system.

i definitely give jet subvention sweep 1003 and my jet dc 1100 a big thumbs up.

The finishing experiment the floor sweep is an excellent "tool" to perfectly up all the dust that escaped from the dc regularity and made it's way onto the floor. the signal size, about 24" by 6", with a 4" outlet, allows for a hasty and easy cleanup of the shop floor. clear-cut use it like a regular vacuum cleaner. the soft housing is heavy duty, will stand up to a lot of use, and abuse.

include a blastgate to the subvention sweep, then you can turn it on and off when needed. it is somewhat too large and magnificent to clean the bench tops, but does an good job on the floor. it is self-denial setting up a branch on the dc regularity just for this floor sweep.
