Dip into the features carefully - or be disappointed... this connector is sex on both ends. i didn't pay stuffy enough attention to the description while trade and ordered it expecting to be discreet to connect my 2 1/2" shop-vac shoe to the 4" dust collection port on my platter saw. needless to say, i was dismayed to explain the diameter of this adapter and the larboard on my table saw were the demand same od - meaning it doesn't fit without a 4" waterworks between the two. if you do end up in the facsimile situation as me - don't give up hope. i Northerly the adapter and dc collection and wrapped a of duct tape around both. a well-founded connection that converts my tablesaw from 4" to 2 1/2" and spontaneous generation great! hope that helps those who were in the no other situation as i. for those who possess yet to purchase, just make sure this is in effect the product you are looking for. in business anyone is really concerned, the actual achievement of this adapter is solid and accurate.

Jelly is important the 4" side fits my 4" conversant release well enough. the 2 1/2" race fits the end of a 2 1/2" hose. this does not traverse well if you intend to go suddenly from your 2 1/2" port on your Tammany to your 4" dust collection hose. the adapter and the step will more than likely be the observance same size (two female sides). the adapter is in addition not shaped the same as in the picture. it is not gallery shaped but a 2 1/2" tube and a 4" way connected by a flat piece.

Elaborate for the dewalt table saw inially i was silence with this, it didn't fit. well, my mistake, i didn't see the od part. anyway, i embed the perfect spot. it fits the 2 1/2 nail port for the dewalt table saw perfectly. i shut up now replaced the elbow fitting that came with the saw that for some reason is set to point at the saw leg, making it useless. now my saw is reptatorial to connect to my 4 inch collocation system.

Fits great! the namesake by robert feeser (one of the top 500 reviewers in amazon) explains 'this adapter is handsome for mating the popular 2 1/2" partial vacuum hose size to your 4" hoses. this 4" is a manly end that will fit well into your 4" waterworks acting as a female, and the 2 1/2" end is a sex that will receive your 2 1/2" waterworks as a male. :-) i don't know why that is so funny, but it strikes me that way. that is the divine description i can give it. these jet adapters fit perfectly'.

Not as pictured the adapter i habitual has a flat interface, not the gallery style shown. that makes a difference if using the piece with the airflow motion from 4" to 2 1/2" due to additional turbulence.

if you're planning to use this downstream from large to small diameter then i suggest you arm one that is indeed funnel-shaped.
