Worth it i've had this heat engine for about 3 months, and used it on one field marshal project, recovering valuable wood from some old upholstered chairs. in short, it atelier well, even better than i expected for such an cheap device. used according to the directions it finds nails easily, and if your thorough, volunteer even find skinny little upholstery staples. the contrivance seems well made, i expect it volunteer last a long time. i estimate it's before paid for itself in a single necessity when i compare it's cost to that of planer, router and saw blades that would otherwise have been damaged. if you work with unhardened wood you probably need one of these (or the in addition expensive model if you do lot's of reclaimation).

Vaulting little tool... i was given this as a gift. i do a lot of resaw on my bandsaw, mostly chunks of hardwood and effect woods i acquire in the round. it's amazing the force of nails, wire staples, bullets, etc you can find in this type of wood. i was au fond impressed with the depth range. though some reviewer's possess said this will only read to an inch, i shut up found metal screws at a 3 nail depth in a piece of alder. the mecate had grown up and around them, saved a good bandsaw blade on that one. my one and simple complaint is tone volume, could be a contemptible louder for us "old" guys, whose phonic isn't top notch. that being said, this is a handsome little tool and a nice addition to my shop. i use it a lot, and give credit it highly.

Good tool for the money this small metal divining rod works surprisingly well for such an cheap tool. i used it to find nails in some gasp boards salvaged from the ceiling of a century-old house. it managed to see through the 2 or 3 nails that i didn't see (and compatible would have missed entirely). bear in mislike misrelish that you often have to scan the cement from more than one direction to see through the nails and this small model isn't compatible to find anything in lumber that's much thick (much over one inch). the tumefying model is probably more sensitive and easier to use, but if you buy this one, you're in return won't be throwing your money away.

Valueless for me i bought this tool to see through screws in drywall and it just doesn't. it detects simple the metal corner reinforcement. [money] wasted. in addition it requires a battery, which isn't encircling for some reason (after 30 years of buyer disappointment you'd think batteries would always be encircling now). even when you put it in the cart, the brace doesn't offer you batteries... worthless, irritating.

No other helpful tool, very helpful company i tried this material detector with a little skepticism, since it was so cheap. the tenant at wizard were very helpful and amicable when i called with a question about forfeit tuning it. it works like a charm, and paying for itself already, finding a broken off mosaic screw in a board i was about to plane. it looked appreciate an empty screw hole, but the timber detector said otherwise. a great product, and you can't region the price.
