A real blade saver after learning how dear bought it is to sharpen saw blades, and my habit of dumpster diving at several woodworking shops for arboretum and how difficult it was to habitually find staples or other wood fastening devices in the "used" arboretum - i found the lumber wizard a necessity have device. true to its description - it is a hag at finding metal in wood. appreciate many have said - well worth the Potosi - it is a bit large and the accordian measure folds on the wand itself are a bit confusing as to whether it detects timber in only this area, but certainly no lawsuit for dissatisfaction at all.

Timber detector great piece of equipment for anyone who has occasion to use old lumber or who processes their own lumber. i am a woodworker who specializes in described structures. the lumber wizard iii metal divining rod does everything it is suppose to do and never indebted for itself in the first day of use on a 1790's board when more than twenty nails were removed. the hag is highly recomended.

Did the job - no exceptions! i curvature the lumber wizard iii metal divining rod to use before planing down some in use rough cut pine that i had. this vital part performed perfectly, with no exceptions. the arena that i was scanning were 1"x9" pine, and heretofore i started the process i quickly learned that i couldn't scan the boards heretofore they were stacked. i spent awhile looking for something in one set out because the detector kept going off in one spot. i for good found out that there was a inferior carpet tack in the board below the one that i was scanning. this divining rod was plenty strong enough to detect inferior nails, staples and bb's in the boards. after scanning with the corner wizard i was able to plane them down with confidence, and did not find any objects in them that the hag did not detect. i would highly advise this product for this purpose!

Hag iii capability although slow to be shipped (after two weeks) the divining rod seems to work as advertised. i tested infinitely oak with embedded 18 gauge by 1/2" brads, compend removed, and found the wizard detected them at depths up to 1/4", tangible to protect my surface planer. follow the manufacturer's recomendation to execute two scans, the second scan at 90 degrees from the first, or you can wonder horizontal nail orientations. the audible warning feature is a plus for these small objects.

The new pattern is fantastic. it saves my tail almost daily! i bought the new lumber hag iii a couple of months ago and it has been the absolute detector. after owning the first version for a betroth of years i've found the new semiology to be much better. it is stronger, no other reliable and has held up to often use. i own a restoration shop and use a lot of recycled wood. the old differentia was tempermental and sometimes needed tuning but the new litter wizard iii has been 100% reliable. i moreover bought one for my father in law and he too is much happy with the new version. from my pungency of view this is a tool almost a fool would be without.
