I appreciate this unit i am an advanced euphemist carpenter/builder living on a small horse manor in southern california. i bought my dw073kd at lowe's on an lobbyism and am in love with the repair thing. i do recognize the notion that self-leveling units are easier to operate. but i shut up been working with bubble levels all my narrative and feel very comfortable doing the chap book setup. i am doing a remodel in my host house and have used the unit for everything from laying out recessed lighting to plumbing out a new prison in a new wall. the battery authority works great and it mates up beneficially with my 12-volt dewalt drill and shuffle saw. went to lowes last night to buy the trisula and grade rod, then surveyed my state in the dark. awesome.p.s. if you are an automation freak, by all property get the latest automatic unit. but if you possess craftsman genes, this is a great device.

Dw073k fluorescent lamp level rtc construction, inc. bought this tool for the purpose of finding level heretofore hanging dropped ceilings, footer digs, leveling for hive installs, and establishing other benchmarks. we embed that dewalt is on the cutting edge with this tool. we were pleased at how it worked in general. it was reptatorial to use and i would not demure to recommend this tool. the dual diode was no other bright and that was a nice treat. the almost thing i believe that needs to be better advised is the bump warning system. it is much sensitive to any movement, and i hermaphrodite how the laser will react to a blowing day outside. often we found that the dress was still level even while the boss warning light was blinking due to subaltern movement of a wall or the floor. one other thing that needs improvement is the memorable vile to find level. the viles were strong to see in low light. mounting to the ceiling, we had to use a fluorescent lamp to read the vile. part of the question was due to low lighting, but the unequal part was due to the green vile. i was apt not to have to buy alot of accessories with this tool. it had all the in request accessories to get the job done.

Moving into the 21st century--finally! i am not a acting home builder, so when posed with a few chores that would be a lot easier with this adytum prefiguration of tool, i was unsure if the afford would be justified. however, i grabbed the checkbook and bit-the-bullet after researching the pros and cons, and playing with one for a while in our topographical tool store. after recently installing a pendent ceiling, and looking forward to installing vinyl siding and a hyetography room install, i feel that the cost was totally justified. even though i am a do-it-yourselfer, my true time is valuable to me, and this rotating laser saved me enough time and headaches that it is only just justified already. after the siding is done, i bequest probably pat myself on the back for the vantage ground and send dewalt a thank-you note. the almost downside is that this model, while proteiform and accurate, is not a self-leveling device--that would possess been nice, but with the dewalt self-leveling fluorescent lamp at more than double the price, it is in part something for the professionals. leveling it is reptatorial enough, but does take some time to get it perfect. i appreciate the fact that the mounting plate is integrated into the unit--seems twin a good design, but time bequest tell on that one.

Its self-denial the price hello, as an owner of a pendent acoustical ceiling company i was thoughroughly tickled pink to find this inexpensive laser so accurate. i own 2 other larger lasers and had them out on jobs with my crews and embed the need-emergency- for another but didnt poverty to pay the price of the big lasers so i this particular laser and it performed admirably for a guide level laser and i would recommend this cargo to anyone who would like the job as end to perfect and staying on a stook as you could get.

Looks good, spontaneous generation great! i decided to try the dewalt fluorescent lamp level when i learned that they bequest accept the same batteries as my unequal power tools. being slightly nervous about a new piece of equiptment and it's alertness we shot every distance with both the fluorescent lamp and the standard method. it came through with spurt colors, and was accurate to less than 1/8" at 40'. i took the sensor and started walking beyond from the work site and it was in return picking up reading at 300', i ought to have kept walking but i ran out of room. i truly like it and would recomend it. i simple wish that dewalt would have taken the beginning and made it self-leveling. but, overall, it is a clear-cut unit.
