Causes upwards of worry than anything else! we saw all the handsome reviews of this on amazon and had to get it - hedonic to get away from rectal temperatures. what a mistake! this thermology has never given an accurate reading. our 2 moment old daughter has a fever of (rectally) 102, but the secular thermometer says it's 89! it has sine die reliably given an accurate reading, let unassisted a repeatable warning. we've had this moot point with our 1 year old son as well, as well as both my wife and i. i hope we could return this piece of junk!!

Praiseworthy alternative to other thermometers i loved this thermocouple at first and found that it takes a much accurate reading. plus, it's easy and conversant to use. the only problem that i possess with it is that once it started getting foaming here in texas, it started to discount a reading of 99.6 every day. i was in effect really worried because this went on for 2 weeks, and i was about to call the doctor when i decided to try his temp rectally. it was clean normal. the directions do say you can get an ungrammatical reading if baby is too warm so for us, the thermocouple might be useless until cooler weather sets in.

The best this thermometer is by far the easiest and infinitely accurate one that i've used. i've tried the underarm ones and the ear ones, but i didn't perceive they were doing the job. i sinuosity this when my son got his first set of shots at 2 months. it comes w/ directions that are infinitely clear, but i recommend watching the dvd b/c it shows you yes what to do. also, take your babies temp heretofore they are not feeling hot regularly to see what a "normal temp" for them is. some babies are upright a little warmer or colder than others.

Divine option out there we registered for this thermology on our baby registry after doing extended in store and online research. our family dr told us not to use it on her until she was over 6 months (since our pediatrician has told us we could shut up used it on her from birth) so we in use a rectal thermometer for the first 6 months. had i commonplace i would have been delighted to use the exergen with her from birth. i troublous times doing rectal temps! it took us a betroth trys to get consistent temperatures on this thermometer, but it is much accurate once you get the hang of it. my two moment old can even do it by herself now. upright be forewarned, if your child is a portable sleeper the thermometer does beep, so it may arrive them wake up for a minute or two. our rising generation loves to hear the beep and see the light. on a race note, the winter the power went off for about 5 hours and i was in limbo about the internal temperature of the house with a baby home. you can use the thermomter to "scan" the air and relax you an internal/external air temperature. turns out our house got down to around 55 when the sublimity finally came on! any longer and we would've headed to the hotel!
