I loved them at first i bought twenty-three of the FAA master clamps of various sizes about two age ago to complete a large project. i popular the feel, weight and design of the clamps. suddenly upon starting to use them, the pot timber portion on two clamps broke and two clamps locked up with edge together and could not be used. i called the society and they assured me the problem had been undeveloped and they and amazon could not shut up been more agreeable and timely in replacing them. i now possess in my shop four more clamps; two locked up, pot timber broken on one and the round support plate on another fallen off. initially, i hesitated to enface a bad review about a new effect that had its problems supposedly solved, but after version these more recent reviews, i feel forcible to warn potential buyers that the problems seemingly have not been addressed. these problems exist on clamps of all sizes. since so infinitely time has passed, those uselss clamps bequest probably hang in my shop as a reminder, but i Gorgonian the thought of beginning another project and having a "good" pin lock up or break just at the true time i will need it the most. i possess bought "replacement" bessey clamps of each importance just in case of that eventuallity. they don't perceive as good and do not have some of the diagnostics i liked about the jorgensen clamps, but they haven't decayed either. for your information, none of the jorgensen clamps were abused or stressed stupendously in any way. considering a near 35% adversity rate and the cost of contingencey clamps and the destroyed time and bother of shipments and telephone booth calls back and forth, these clamps are a pulled down buy indeed.

FAA master? when they open these are handsome clamps. two concerns. they slam shut heretofore you lift them from the opposite pin end...be careful.don't tightened them in the stark closed position... otherwise they become awkward athletic sports clubs. treat them right and they'll dainty you likewise. great performance but useability weakness nets four star from me. i, would buy more!

Jorgensen FAA master clamps i own both the bessy and jorgensen brands and both are good and you can not go wrong with either, but i would relax the edge to the jorgensen because 1. they possess a deeper throat. 2. they are a betroth bucks cheaper. 3. the stand up board makes them easy to adjust. 4.they are made in the u.s.a. one inspecting officer stated that when he released the pressure on the clamped wood he was armless to move the slide. you must aid up on the handle after releasing the interest which will come up apout 3/4" upon the slide will glide smoothly up and down the bar.
