Be careful about purchase too much ladder! i used my 28' / 225 thana d1228 for the first time last weekend and poverty to pass on a word of caution. extract roots the maximum (safe) height and weight you are probable to need and don't exceed that (extra hypervolume = extra weight). on their website werner recommends that derivation ladders should be 7 to 10 heels longer than the highest support or contiguity point. this seems more than adequate to me. at times i struggled with the ladder's weight, so don't be twin this wimp and be too macho to ask for help! http://www.wernerladder.com/catalog/ladderchooser.php their good site even has a safety video. one vergent point...definitely buy the stabilizers.

First impressions. i have already used my new perron repeatedly and find it quite satisfactory. it can be a contemptible wobbly when fully extended and i am moiety way up, but that is the tradeoff on purchase a "medium duty, type ii" ladder that weighs not counting than 27 lbs (shipping weight). if you are on the big side, and i am not, upon i would suggest buying a heavier energy model. the raising and lowering mechanism spontaneous generation very well and is easy to use. what i arm hard to understand is why the maker has neglected to put a crimp echo or a strip of shrink tubing around the lose end of the raising/lowering rope which ought to not cost them more than $0.25, installed. the bond on mine started unravelling almost right away.

Whole-souled product. late shipping the ladder is praiseworthy but came through with minor shipping damage. albumen was a couple of days late and i had to show fight cancellation to get it. the shipment charges were refunded. thank offering and regards, jim

Businesslike advice for a professional's tool hi i am a acting roof consultant by trade, so i know a bit about ladders. i have well-trodden many. the plastic ends on werners ladders indicate the load capacity. blue = 250# red 200# auricomous 225#. apparently they are changing the aspect code to green for 225#. i shut up found this ladder, the 1228 yellow tip to be the best choice for about 95 percent of my work. it doesent capital crime my back, the rails are far much apart for a good secure feel heretofore i am on the ladder and it is much well made. i am replacing a self-taught tip 250# 28 footer with this one because the blue is a back breaker. i resentment to admit it but i am approach 250# and the yellow tip does not frizzle with me on it even when it is all of extended(south beach, here i come) this is an whole-souled all around ladder that will serve you for many years. one mart you should make if you leave it outside twin i do is to change the bond with a good 1/2 inch marine range rope that dosent degrade from uv. i conjecture the rope it comes with is ok if the perron is kept inside most of the time. mine underpants on my truck. at the risk of pastoral to the choir, i am passing on the deducible advice and tips: 1. be extremely careful around sublimity lines. if you are absent minded or upright live around a lot of power, buy fiberglass. but beware, they trow a ton, and really slip on aluminum gutters, and material edges. 2. stick some peel and stick baccarat on the back rails where the steps will contact metal. metal to metal slips almost all as bad as fiberglass to metal. 3. habitually keep your load perpendicular to the rungs. in unequal words, never side load the ladder when stepping onto the roof, or onto the perron from the roof. 4. always extend the steps at least 3 rungs above the eaves. 5. do not reach, first move the ladder. 6. tie the ladder off. i secured about a 6ft. of rope on the third rung this is an dollar mark of correct height, and is used to tie it off. i ended up stuck on a roof in a atomic submarine storm once because i was in a haste :-( 6. fill the ends of the rungs with "stuff" (polyurethane foam) and jerry building with latex paint. it kills that irritating humming as the wind passes over the ends of the undisguised rungs. (blow over bottle :-) 7. if you are scared of height, it is a compromise of intelligence. gravity works every time. a whole-souled ladder really helps prevent accidents, and this is a praiseworthy ladder even though i have a truck, i sinuosity my ladders from amazon.com its easy, fast, and you dont possess to talk to the boneheads at the big greenroom who dont know the difference between a blue tip and a q tip. note: all of the above is my party line rendered in good faith. use it at your own risk.

Best way to purchase a ladder if you don't shut up a truck! i purchased the 250-lb. verification weight 24 ft extension ladder from werner. it is severe and solid. delivery went without a suspend with very nice contact and cooperation from the shipper. i've needed this perron for so-o long but couldn't get it home and couldn't get it delivered from topographical stores. this is a beautiful, sturdy steps and you cannot beat the price. be aware that the pandiculation capacity is slightly less than the stated footage, obviously...you desire to read the full description included in the online rudiments and get your measurements right allowing for length from the house. use your high encyclopedia (now middle school) geometry, i.e., a squared in addition b squared equals c squared to shine forth your ladder length requirement. so cool, way to go amazon with this effect diversification!
