Whole-souled for jewelry work i am much pleased with how well this subtle vise works. i make silver jewellery and this was one of the few vises i shut up found with smooth clamp faces. i use it to draw wire, make bends and hold pieces for tooling work. it is solid enough for some horse soldier hammering-on, and the screw is clear-cut and smooth in operation. a much well-made tool.
