More uses than you'd trow vise-grip products are pretty sturdy and can eat a lot of abuse. the sheet-metal heat engine is no exception. it not almost will clamp and hold a wider dry goods area than other grips, you can use it to get a nice, brittle fold in a variety of metals. sheets that are longer than the jaw of the heat engine are not a problem--you can upright move the tool along and there is no post or fold between the placements.

i'm a tinsmith, and i use this tool pretty regularly. there are more dear bought such tools around, with compound action, etc., but conditionally you use such a tool professionally and/or on much heavy-duty material, this is the divine bang for the buck. and, once you have one, you'll wonder how you went so macrocolous without it.
