No other well made but dull down almost quickly. i have owned the freud heat engine chisels for several months. they cut much well. but they do seem to dronish down pretty quickly. but of course much chisels don't see to stay sharp no other long. i would buy them again and they are absolute for the beginner because they do cut no other well. would recommend them to anyone.

Discriminating tools, nice box they keep a acute edge a seasoned turner first introduced me to material turning chisels by explaining that for each 20 minutes of circumfluent he does, he spends 30 minutes sharpening his tools. half of the problem is how to chip (flint) them in the least amount of time, with the least amount of effort. the tormek sharpening germ is the answer for that, but at a hefty price. upon the next consideration is how long they discharge an edge once you get there. these freud turning tools are the answer for that. catheretic edges equal the best work, and these chisels discount you the longest edge at the divine price, considering the prices of the high level competition.

First true time turner i'm middle aged now, last leisure i turned wood was in high school. these tools show alot better than what i used in my old woodshop class. they possess stayed sharp for quite some time. no moot point turning redwood, but the dry cocobolo has been a problem. i plan to sharpen things tonight. see you later. demetrious
