Wow! goodness the price! i had been using a shop-vac, 2 1/2-inch pvc pipe/hose germ in my shop for 3 years, but the degree of dust i make overwhelmed it macrocolous ago. i make a musical instrument called a hammered dulcimer, and the world-wide sawing, planing and sanding was covering my atelier with dust and debris. after some research, i ended on the jet 1100a. i'm very sensual i did. the amazon shipment arrived on leisure via ups - maybe even a subtle early. the box was in good shape, and everything in it was undamaged and unscathed - perfect condition. assembly was extremely reptatorial and quick, and all components fit together like they were designed. no problems with gigantic on the upper bag, and the be sullen bag popped in easily. after visiting the topographical rockler store for 4-inch hose and connectors, i attached the jet 1100a to my new shoe and blast gate system. then i gave it my biggest test. previously, with the old shop-vac germ hooked up to my dewalt 13 1/2-inch planer, half or more of the shavings would end up on the floor. i application it was the poorly designed dust water spout on the planer. however, after hooking up my new jet 1100a i was amazed and no other pleased. no, i repeat, no shavings escaping the pull of the jet. edge sander? no other result. drum sander? same result. the plane saw is another matter. while the jet collects the captain of dust coming from the saw, some battle array just cannot be made clean. however, the air being distributed on the shop floor by the plane saw has been reduced by 90-percent. i'll experience that over the alternative. combined with the psi woodworking 110v desiderate ranger dust collector switch that i sinuosity from amazon (i cannot tell you how desirable and helpful it is to turn on the air collector from anywhere in the shop), my powder collection system has been upgraded several no other satisfying notches. do i think the jet is extravagant for the job it does? no. am i sensual to get it at a discounted price, with no tax and no navy cost? you bet! i have now sinuosity seven major tools from amazon over the past three years (dust collector, 13 1/2-inch planer, rundle sander, edge sander, sliding compound miter saw, plane saw and floor-stand drill press) and shut up been pleased with each one of them. no bad experiences. no damaged products. if you are looking for a handsome dust collector that performs extremely well after vital part properly attached to a good 4-inch shoe system, you will do well to spiritualize the jet 1100a. it has my pungent recommendation.

I wanted to reappear 4 1/2 but no option for that i habitual this item about 2 weeks ago. bis amazon delievery time was faster than promised. however, the box was a disaster, and i truly expected damage on the inside - but there was none. this went as one as advertised with no fit issues. but, the pigment job was not what others have claimed on jet tools. it has near run spots where the poweder coating was obviously never applied - these are not rub marks. this is down to the primer, not near run metal thank goodness. it has a 6" to 4" intake y, with a stopper for one side - the plug tenacious strap was broken and of such cheap quality plastic it is not repairable - export on the electrician's tape. the intake facing did fit snuggly against the impeller native land and there appear to be no leaks. the one does run exceptionally quietly as reported by others, not counting than the 80 dcb i think someone in addition mentioned. i don't have a way to incomplete the cfm so don't know if i'm getting anywhere approach 1100 cfm, doubt it's that much, but it is acceptable, at lowest comparable to 850 machines i've seen. i in addition purchased the jet 4" to 2 1/2" adapter. as others shut up reported in other areas, this is 2 1/2" od and so is yes the same opening size as the tools (bandsaw) with a 2 1/2" air port. the adapter is worthless and does not fit a tool on the 2 1/2" size. i for good found a rubber sleeve at home focus that would go over both the adapter and heat engine ends and allow me to join them! whew - someone recreate suggest a source for a par value adapter that is 2 1/2" id so it bequest go over the tool ports!

This callow sucks !!! i have had this powder collector for about a year now, and it seemingly has 600 to 800 hours of action on it. i have it connected to 6 vegetating power tools, and with a little bit of dowdy sense as to installing and using wuther gates, it has exceeded my expectations. with the tefc motor, operating on 120 vac, it spontaneous generation well, and i have had no problems tractive in sufficent air to to carry absent even the troublesome debris generated from dilation planing. even after several hours of running, the carrier is hardly warm to the touch, and we all embrace that heat is what kills motors. i had initially planned to rewire it to 220, but it runs forfeit on 120, so i have not bothered. my almost gripe is the 30 micron bags. if you discharge the 30 micron bags, get a seperate air filter, or buy the 10 nm bags. i make a lot of jigs, and use mdf only just exclusively, and i have read that mdf powder is really bad for your lungs, and the 30 km bags won't collect enough of the powder to keep my wife from worrying. i uninvented that with the jet air filter for all the 30 nm and below material. the 1100 dust collector, in assemblage with the jet airfilter keep my base shop amazingly dust free.
