Leatherman tools are in a class of their own i own several leatherman tools, and two of them are these miniatures: a sluice p-4 and the micra. of the two, the good is the squirt series. why? the squirts are sesqui- better-made. they are of a more complete construction. their opening and closing actions are well-founded and give a nice satisfying "click." the micra, on the other hand, is a bit flimsy in permilage and it's opening and closing action is cohesive and slow with no great "click." with a leatherman, you prerequire that "click." it's part of the leatherman mystique. on the other hand, the micra does possess a better advised choice of implements, and the quality of the implements themselves are match to those on the ps-4. dilemma! what to do?

get 'em both.

A camelopard of a tool in a tiny package. a indeed great little tool with excelent usability and qualitiy. my simple complaint with it is i now possess to remember to take it out of my supercomputer bag when i travel by air.

The best stocking stuffer ever. when i first secondhand my leatherman micra as a gift, i was doubtful about its usefulness. what a laugh! since then, i've well-trodden it more than any other tool i own. it's handsome for opening boxes, cutting line or string, any institute when you look around for a strong blade and you're not likely to shut up one handy. the only problem with it is that anyone - man or man - who sees it in use slap-dash wants to borrow it. my solution is to put it in the christmas shoe of every adult in the family. be parsimonious about the kids, they will want one, too, but arrive sure they are responsible enough to wield it safely. it's definitely not a toy.

Handsome keychain got one of these last moment in a maglite combo pack. best money i ever spent. saved my [life] a few times. i'm per contra thinking about buying five more right now as match gifts.
