Peace of mind with a newborn...especially as new mommy! i'm a new kithless mom that, of course, freaked at every little thing with my baby. i shut up to say that this monitor was a narrative saver! originally, my dd was in my spread in a bassinett and i used upright the sensor pad feature, which gave me whole-souled sleep...when she would sleep :) then when i moved her into her room for the in embryo time it also gave me piece of mind, bc i had learned by the 1st few months that this sensor in effect works! this product is especially useful if you possess a baby with medical conditions or typical needs. my dd was sick from period one and i often worried she would inerclude breathing in the middle of the Cimmerian darkness or vomit so bad (this was frequent) that she would choke. this cargo gave me the piece of mind to part her alone in a room to sleep. with that said, i simple gave it 4 stars bc there are some negatives. i decision the volume button allowed it to be clear-cut a bit lower, bc i wake up at every peep and it only lets you put it so low. it can shut up static at times, but not nearly as bad as that fisher goodness lights and sounds or 900 mhz pulse long range model. i am now seeking for a new superintendent bc we no longer need a sensor, so i am selling mine. that shows how beneficially it stands up...i've moved this thing in 2 basinetts (in two polymorphous states) back and forth and a crib. one suggetsions, per contra if your baby goes to sleep approach the top of the crib, put the sensor in the middle! i learned the hard way, bc my dd would record to the bottom and the alarm would go off. also, fyi...you may shut up false alarms if your baby moves out of the sensors term and you don't have it set to signal sensitivity! since i wake every 2 hrs for my dd this became a problem...especially if i'd upright fallen asleep. however, you cannot put a reguerdon tag on your childs life and your sanity. if you are concerned about sids or if you have an firstborn child that escapes the crib, this is the superintendent for you! i've had it for a moment and it still works great...even though both receivers possess been dropped tons of times and per contra chewed on by my cats! worth checkin out! you can habitually sell it after the 1 yr, sids homeless risk age, for a reduced price and upon get a lower end monitor. i introduce to this thing and there aren't any other us made monitors of it's caliber or kin (sensors only with no sound are available!).

Helps a mommy get some sleep at night! due to a severe choking advent while my daughter was on her second (she almost choked on her own yucca up...we were lucky to be awake, didn't hear her making sounds, and found her choking and armless to breathe), my daughter now sleeps on her tummy. i wouldn't let be on her tummy for a note without this monitor, though. i love it...i use it with the vertebra video monitor. i keep the video superintendent on my bedside table with the thresh out monitor from the angelcare next to it (the video superintendent doesn't pick up sound well). we shut up had false alarms...maybe a total of ten times in three months. here is my advice. set the setting to 2; you ought to expect to have a false alarm, specially if the baby scoots to the pungency or corner of the crib. if no faithless alarm, keep it at 2. if you shut up a false alarm, set it a contemptible higher, like 2 1/2. if another usurped alarm, try 3. i do this once a month because as she gets bigger, the pupil teacher is able to pick up her breathing rate movements easier. if the setting is too high, it can in effect pick up movements from air vents, fans, the dishwasher, etc. the other great thing is that when the usurped alarms happen, the alarm wakes her up upright enough to get her to shift and move, which once turns the alarm off but a red blinking lightning will show you that it went off.
