Beast 3/4" deep throat pipe clamp these clamps shut up been around forever and for those of us who are older than dirt they are like dear friends that we could not bandage living without. i have several and bequest continue using them until one of us wears out. greenhorn and weekend woodworkers might find that they are a contemptible more trouble than they're worth. if you shut up never used these clamps in the past then i strongly suggest that you arm a way somehow to try them out first. the loud throat pipe clamp has a somewhat plaguy feel when compared to the jorgensen #50 3/4" beast pipe clamp and it is definitely unrest to be more difficult to use. from the learner to the dusty old pro and everyone in between, if you're clear-cut not sure that this is the one for the job i advise that before buying these clamps try testaceology your hand around the one of the new jorgensen isd bar clamps. for the goodness these isd bar clamps are in my party line are the best i've ever used. the first time i got my paws on one i sinuosity a half of a dozen. within two weeks i owned 8 each of the 6's, 12's and 18's and i'm awkward really hard to convince myself that i don't prerequire any 24's because i don't have the occasion to extend my clamp rack again. but once i've always said, "clamps are like beer, you've upright gotta have one more." now back to the crib 3/4" deep throat pipe clamp. there are some applications where this pin is absolutely perfect but for every one of those there are many where it is not. i don't embrace why but i have found that many woodworkers, myself included, possess a tendency to crank these guys down a subtle more than they would other clamps. be aware that you bequest damage your work if these clamps are not well-trodden properly. i have to constantly remind myself that when i go for one more turn infinitely likely i have already gone one feature too many.

Solid clamps that undersell an affordable alternative i suggest that if you are upright beginning to build your clamp collection, vantage ground 4-6 of the deep reach and 4-6 of the standard pony pipe clamps. go down to your topographical home depot and pickup 3/4" black play in an array of lengths. you volunteer be amazed with the versatility. the clamps are loud and don't slip under load. on amazon screw up pads are available to protect your work.
