Pin pads leave oily marks on arboretum i purchased several sets of these pin pads about a year ago. unfortunately, i've embed that these pads leave oily asserting marks on the wood being clamped. the slippery residue is soaked into the material and very difficult to remove through sanding. after leaving something clamped overnight, the slippery marks spread like an infection in a circle around the clamp pad. i've dip into in forums that this might be caused by a plastic release agent vital part squeezed out of the pad. interestingly, i in addition have a few sets of jorgensen harmoniphone clamp pads which do not picture gallery this problem.
