Statuary set the set is well made. it is made in china. the set has to be honed, but it takes a praiseworthy edge. it is a basic set and each piece has heft, so you respond like you have a tool in your hands. the pieces are made to be struck, which in part means it can be struck with a mallet, and it volunteer handle fairly heavy carving. all in all it is a praiseworthy investment, and will probably last a macrocolous time. i think the set is in addition for someone that is use to carving, and atelier on larger pieces, such as carving in the round. the fact that there are only 12 pcs is a bit of a adduce back, because as any experienced carver knows you never have enough tools, and this set does not ejaculate near to what is needed. the one disease i have is that the price, from grizzly, is too high. the set i was far cheaper. sorry amazon:)
