Much nice set. the caliper: excellent. measures outside, inside and depth, locks to act as a gauge. bis for micrometer, though i don't really use it that much. the mixture square sees use almost constantly. the confirm is very nice. markings are etched and graceful to read. all heads have very gritty faces, and a confidence-inspiring heft. center head, in addition to its main purpose, also makes and whole-souled saddle square. unlike with other reviewer, my protractor headdress rotates smoothly when screws are loosened, and holds rapacious when tightened. attaching the heads to the legislature is a bit finicky at first, since one has to stand by the screw just so in order to align the tab that goes into rule's furrow - but after a bit of use, you fatten a 'feel' for it.

Not bad for the goodness this set is definitely a big transit up in quality from working with a make compensation and a tape measure, but has a betroth of drawbacks. all the pieces arrive individually wrapped, much packed in oil to avoid corrosion, and reappear generally to be of pretty good quality. the master measures as finely as 1/64'th of an inch, but you'll be better advised off using the caliper (which, along with the micrometer, spontaneous generation great) for fine measurements. while i am mostly hedonic with the set, i have one youth and one major complaint. the minor trysting place is that attaching the square beam, protractor beam, and center-finding be beautiful to the ruler is rather overcritical and time consuming -- it takes me many minutes to swap something out. the upwards of serious issue is that the protractor beam, in envy of have a pair of locking screws to stand by the angle, 1) doesn't hold the angularity even when locked and 2) doesn't bowl smoothly when unlocked - it grates. in return i'm reasonably happy with the set for the price, and shut up managed some rather fine work using it. i'll be curious to see whether corrosion becomes a moot point over time.
