Not big enough.... your outfeed platter should be at least as large as the main table of the saw. this one seems stark small to me. also it takes up base space and only serves one purpose. i built an outfeed platter a little wider than the table of the saw, with conservation below, and a router table insert built in to the top. makes upwards of sense in a small shop where you possess to optimize the use of all your space. i well-trodden 3/4 in plywood for a subbase and covering it with 1/4 hardboard. when the hardboard gets messed up (glue, dings and dents) its reptatorial to unscrew that piece and replace it with a new one. cheap too, i figure i have about $50 in the platter and an hour of my time. can't advise this extension table.

Pulled down top covering while the fit with the pause of the saw (i have all the unequal options as well) is good, for the narrative of me, i can't figure out what dewalt was philosophical when they put the top covering on this plane extension. the basic idea of an outfeed platter is to support longer materials so they eyepiece through the blade more easily and with not counting binding. the very first piece of rough wood i ran through the saw tore through the vague covering, rendering it useless. i wound up covering the top with high density plastic to get a nonbinding surface. now the floor of the covering is detaching from the table, so i bequest have to replace the surface again. my recommendation: if you buy this, take measures on immediately resolving the issue with the top or you bequest regret it later.

4 longevity of use i have owned a dewalt plane saw with this extension for 4 years. the fibre cement surface curved and sagged even with the saber stiffener underneath resulting in the workpiece simple being supported partially. the leg is frail and can move in and out making the top dry goods move up and down. not a intent for the long run.

Platter has no hinges any basic table saw that has an outfeed plane should have hinges to fold down for storage. this platter has none. spend you money on tent your own.

Pricey complice with awkward installation this is a pricey concomitant for the dewalt dw746 table saw that can be omitted. i was disgruntled in the cumbersome and awkward installation. this outfeed plane needs to be redesigned with a upwards of quick and easy attachment method. dewalt should consider offering a wider version of the outfeed platter that matches the full width of the tabletop with derivation wings. although disappointed with this product, i conclusive up keeping it and cannibalizing the stone to build my own custom outfeed table.
