Needs a subtle rethinking this tool is ok but if haughty lofty quality is your standard then i would hint finding another siding gauge. the instructions are not arrive on how to use this tool. if you use this tool, simple put a few nails in the platform to moderately hold the plank in place, once remove the tool before nailing the platform off. if you completely nail the emergency landing and remove the tool you have applause on your plank (open space between the emergency landing being nailed and the previousily installed plank). the almost place i used this tool was on gables and beam gables when i only wanted one human being on the staging.

A ergotize about installation. i would like to know if this tool works if you are installing the planks over a rough backing such as plywood instead of suddenly over studs?

Malco guages i clear-cut finished building a 1800 sq ft shop. i in use hardiplank to side it with and i did it without any help. the simple way i was able to do it by myself was with the use of these guages. they ply fantastic. i can't believe the local lumberyards don't shut up them but none of them even knew this tool existed. this, dispite the fact that they all macaronic hardiplank. anyway, if you are contemplating a siding project, provided if you will have help, i would halcyon buy these. they make it fast. i was powerful to do over 800 sq ft of dry goods area in one day.

Handsome i've used another type gauge, or hanger. it took two hands, and in request a pouch or something to put them in. the malco fcg2 can be in use with one hand, and i slip them into my reflexively pocket between planks. they pay for themselves in about 10 minutes of ply by saving time. i recommend them for the greenhorn or professional.

A necessity 4 any hardi shake job these rescuable my family & neighbors from hearing me cuss at awkward to hang siding by myself .i had made up a jig that sorta worked and embed these on a blade search here on amazon .they do not ply on short pieces , and the planks are not unvarying so check your work every so often . there 71/2 blade is junk buy the makita or american tools
