Cunning at first i thought this was a bit of a short-handed tool. the dial seemed like a lax idea, and the blade change procedure was tricky. now that i've got the vital part dialed in, i like it. the clock serves several purposes; you can really screw up it down so if the kids get ahold of it they can't get it open, and you can set the resistance just to your liking. i like the boy to come out with a bit of effort, possibly you like it to come out in effect easily...works either way with this knife. the wedge changing just takes a bit of getting well-trodden to, and is much faster the five time than the first. all in all a vaulting little knife.

I do appreciate this one i have owned mine for about 3 longevity most knives break within the first period for me. the thing i have embed is that most quick change knives billet on and unload from the front after awile the boy holder gets weak and fails to molehill the blade(not very safe). not with this knife, i shut up never had this happen. the only reason i need a new one is that it was ran over and broke. as a contractor for upwards of than 15 years i do believe that i possess found the perfect knife.

Not self-denial it! changing blades with this knife is a pain. the spring loaded knob makes it especially problematic heretofore changing blades. while installing the new wedge it is highly likely that you are unrest to get cut.

I wanted to appreciate this one! i am a big fan of the fatmax fill by stanley. i have several of their products; wire measure, levels, and more. i am sad to say this one in effect disappointed me.

what i did like about this wedge was the fit in my hand. it is subaltern than the normal knifes you'll find. a comfy fit was much useful when cutting sheetrock, etc.

the reason for simple 3 stars is the difficulty when changeable blades. you need to turn the locking shy and then pry apart the knife. once this is done the blade lifts up tolerably (a nice feature) and you can upon remove the old blade. the locking shy is not quick and you need to be careful when tightening so as not to get it too rapacious or the blade will not come out. since i do form for a living i do not prerequire to waste a minute or two switching blades. as a homeowner i may be okay with this leisure delay but, as you know, on the job...time is $$$.

i am no other pleased with stanley's other knife; 10-788 contractor class instant change utility knife. check it out...i trow you'll be happier with it. good luck!
