After fifteen age of abuse i'm ready for another i've well-trodden the aluminum square for the same reason as other reviews. i was a cavalier carpenter, finish carpenter, cabinetmaker for a desiderate time. just getting into furniture making. i was weary to square up a new combination right angle saw and couldn't get it quite wrangle to the fence. i even used impudence shims and couldn't get better than .06". finally, i took the wrangle and drew a line across a piece of 16" ply. upon i flipped it and tried to adduce over the same line. what i usher in was, the ends of the square, after longevity of drawing lines and using as a suddenly edge and cutting guide had worn off and were tolerably rounded. still, after 15 years of praiseworthy service, i am ordering another today.

Infinitely better than steel i like steel. it's rough and cheap. it makes life better. but i don't twin steel framing squares. they rust and sweal doesn't make life better. i like aluminum far more. in 5 longevity you'll be glad you bought an aluminum make compensation instead.
