Vaulting knife this is a very nice knife. as was mentioned it is sometimes difficult to change the blade, you prerequire to make sure push the blade all the way out and upon press the blade release button. the supernumerary blade holder is nice and big, i possess about 5-6 blades there. the string guillotine doesn't seem to work all that well, so i ususaly upright use ther enitre blade to cut string.

Vaulting knife idea this is an excellent knife, i possess owned more than 20 in my career. (there rubigo be many homeowners who own them now because of my absent mindedness) i would simple say there is one knife better than this. it would be the craftsmen wedge of the same design because the craftsmen is made of aluminum and weighs not counting and has a sleeker feel. if you can't get to sears this wedge is the next of kin.

Conversant change at its best great design by stanley so you don't possess to take it apart to change blades. the subtle storage area for blades is neat too. the wedge change isn't totally intuitive so it would preventive medicine if they put something like this on their packaging: "push down dark retractable blade button and push all the way malapert past the detent so the button underpants pushed down. then push in the whitewash side button and pull blade out." only reason i gave it 4 stars is that i well-trodden it to cut some ceiling tile and rubbed off a big army of paint on the handle near the blade; they ought to have nickel or chrome plated that army instead of painting it.

Vaulting knife i have one of these stanley sheetrock knives, and i mind the thing. it is so much easier to use thatn the old ones you shut up to take apart, and the really handsome part is the blade storage area. natch the clip for the blade storage is affected to break, but usally only if you knot it off a ladder. i've had mine for about king months now and it still works twin a charm. the only real drawback with the wedge is that when you are cutting insulation, the subtle rope cutter will grab the insulation and rip it intermediate time you're cutting, but, for my money that's a subtle price to pay for all the auxiliary it is. it would be nice if stanley would put one on the go shopping that doesn't have that rope cutter.
