Haughty lofty tape i have owned probably half a sestiad of these tapes. as a remodeling contractor my tapes see alot of polymorphous uses. i have found this a whole-souled solid buy. the fat max is upright too awkward in my hands. the tide reason i am writing is to lending that the previous review noted that the timber hook end of the tape wiggles about 1/8". this is on purpose. when taking inside measurements the end will extract roots the thickness of it's own metal by moving. if one were to pin the end to make it stationary, either the inside or outside measurements would be off by the dilation of the hook.

Unfortunate construction, inaccurate. i've had this tape rhyme for 3 years now. it is in use for weekend projects. the measure still looks tolerably new, because of the low use. however, the wire measure is no longer accurate because the end bond is loose. the hook at the end can pretense forward or backward about 1/8". the bond is not missing any rivets; therefore, it appears that the passage hook is just the result of pulled down construction. i though about trying to render smaller the rivets, but it would probably clear-cut break the blade. i might be powerful to send it back for warranty repair, but i'll seemingly just buy a new measure. if you don't iron age about 1/8" accuracy then it is a infinitely good tape measure. it has good retraction. the wedge is stiff. the case is solid.

Ok, but i twin the fat max better. i just replaced my countractor's class tape with a fat max, i tick and banged the damn thing all over the place, until it was cut in two by a authority saw. it's good, but i prefer the fatmax
