Stop pledging your dad's and just buy one already. i got diseased of running to my parents' garage or my landlord's circumfuse to fetch a tape rule for any job a street stick couldn't handle. this was the divine buy for quality and price. i am completely destructive with tools, and yet, have not managed to value this one so far (1 yr of frequent use). the tape is also very reptatorial to use -- just this weekend i was measuring my apartment rooms by myself and marveled at how on velvet the tape is, even when controlled by one human being from across the room. the cheaper brands i've owned shut up been far too flimsy to do so at all.

Conjecture i've just plain grown used to stanley jute measures i really don't consider myself an old leisure construction man yet... but i have been using stanley 30' tapes for 26 longevity now. nothin else feels right. even when stanley came up with bigger and better, the powerlock 30' is what i buy and volunteer continue to buy, for a good piece of leisure to come. the only reason i gave this heat engine just 4 stars is that i can region tools up pretty bad and they clear-cut can't last forever. stanley will give ya a praiseworthy run for your money though.
