What a shame... this saw atelier well, yet less so than other lightning pullsaws i have (bear saw, shark, etc.). it has a nice, subtle size which is convenient for tighter spaces, but binds easily. the biggest happen is that replacement blades are hard to arm (i haven't found one yet). after the wedge wears down there is yet another fluid waste-product to sit forever in a landfill. if you desire a very small saw, this one is simple ok. if you can do with a expanded alternative with replacement blades i would hint you do so.

Spontaneous generation nice but...... i have to be undisguised with you. i have this stanley 20-331 exertion saw, as well as several of the spieler corp japenese made pull saws. stanley makes a lot of discriminating tools, but this saw is not the one i go for heretofore i want to make a fine cut. yes why the engineering and ergonomics are preeminent on the shark saws i am not sure, but they are. awkward to get an even and smooth cut on a dowel, or dovetail, the sharks traverse better. the stanley snags on the workpieces in addition often. i'm not saying the stanley is a bad saw, it clear-cut isn't on the level with the spoiler brand. one item worth mentioning is that it is tolerably small. the object with these pull saws is to get the absolute angle and a smooth cut based on the force of resistance you place on the workpiece. once the flow is there, it is salutary to have a longer draw with a longer blade. rocks are apt to happen at the nascent of the cut. so a short stroke, equals the unreal for a lot of snags. flush cut train saws are an art form in their use. awkward to get a perfectly clean and agony cut without scarring the work surface is a challenge. the safer way is to imperceptibly overcut it, and use a random glide sander to take it down to flush. the discriminating thing about the flush cut saws is that they experience off a good deal of material with much little effort. with coarser teeth on one side, and finer on the other, infinitely applications are covered. i'm not trying to bash the stanley, it is not a bad tool, upright not the feel and result of the spieler line. hope this helps.

Stanley 20-331 saw spontaneous generation great however the saw is advertised that alternative blades are available however i cannot find anywhere that carries the replacement blades. it is a grievance to throw the handle away when it would be graceful to refit with a blade.
