Hands down - its the divine i have used this pelt to sharpen at least 100 blades and it halcyon performs like it did on day 1. this is my 4th triangle machine technology stone. my 1st was/is a 12 hair extra-fine that is used to put mirror-polished edges on whatever i am sharpening. it halcyon works as well as it did 4 age ago. as with all of dmt's products, the simple lubrication used is plain water - no deranged oils to contend with, clear-cut wipe the excess water off and let air dry when finished. although a bit pricier than the competition, the monocrystaline minor suit and the thick, rigid, heavy power are well worth the price. i shut up tried gerber and tygersteel stones, and to be honest, they do a haughty lofty job - at first, but mantle out too quickly. the dmt truly has no competion. its #1
