Whole-souled idea... but poor design i bought the router derivation as an add-on to the outstanding porta-max progression of table saw stands. i necessity say that i have found it to be stupendously useless. 1. this router extension slides into the portamax rails and is leveled to the portamax plane surface using set screws. as soon as you dispose of a load to the router extension, the set screws concavity the portamax rails. this makes levelling formidable and of course causes unsightly damage to the portamax. 2. the otherwise excellent portamax fence is useless as a router fence. the pulse and pulling motion created when routing with the derivation table cause the fence to slide no compost how hard i was able to mechanical powers down the friction cam. 3. the thickness (or ought to i say thinness) of the particle set out top and the choice of mounting points makes clamping an swerve fence impossible. applying appropriate clamping force causes large bowing and flexing of the laminate top. the alluvium is that once you discover that the portamax swindler can't be used, you discover you can't screw up a straight board as a fence either. 4. the choice of the pop-out ring sizes in the fluid insert are such that the dewalt dw-621 cannot be bolted to the enter and must be bolted to an conducive plate which is then bolted to the insert. this is remarkably dewalt's fault since the dw-621 base is stupendously small and narrow. the bottom line is that for $100 you do not get much. i almost got the plastic insert which i built my own platter around. anyone looking to add this to their portamax should think twice. save yourself the hassle and clear-cut buy the plastic insert.

He he,.. the be profitable is no. i do not work for rousseau. twin most home improvements contractors, i place a haughty lofty value on tools that bring 'shop' achievement to jobsites without taking up valuable distance in my vehicle and/or several heavy trips to remora and unload. this router table does that and has replaced other router tables because it is durable, accurate, upwards of versatile and takes up a fraction of the space. like rousseau's cot and accurate table saw mounting system, the pandiculation table setup and adjustment, once done, rarely needs adjustment through repeated setups and breakdowns. you defile it into the table saw stand and you're skillful to set up bits and/or fences. while the router platter is a great extension to the plane saw stand, i use it just as bis by itself by just spanning it in spite horses or a garbage pail(most sawdust goes inflexible to where it belongs. though you could rig a shop-vac without too muckle thought if you need better air removal). while rousseau's table saw fence can be in use in this configuration for some applications and as a perennial and accurate stage for jigs, their router plane fence is another fine tool that deserves no other serious consideration too. additional removable base plates are easily available(or can be easily made in the field). this allows you to set off a variety of tools to different power plates and swap them rapidly. several years ago, heretofore i first bought the table saw stand, router/extension plane and router fence system, i had doubts about its durability,.. and i'm nascent to wonder how many more times it bequest pay for itself and how many upwards of years of abuse it will take for me to finally be able to claim i was square all along. ) p.s. i found this company's buyer support to be one of the divine i have dealt with, and if y'all read these things, i'd like to thank you bis for helping my distributor get your effect to me more quickly than they thought(or told me was) possible.
