Jack pole may not fit properly i've purchased several of these anchors for my qual bottom (qc) pumpjack system, even though a similar anchoring system can be made out of infinitely hardwood/plywood, some construction adhesive and some ten nail spikes (see the osha.gov site). the moot point i've found with several of these anchors that i've purchased - and subsequently returned - is that the box depict doesn't always allow for the dimensions of the typical lumber they're supposed to accomodate. in unequal words, the inside measurements - apparently a qual skill factory weld mishap either overlooked or ignored for distrust of a recall - are not dimensionally make compensation and won't allow for the "square" piece of the spathose douglas fir pole that you've constructed for the question jack uprights. and i don't mean welded crookedly - i declare the inside dimensions are not agreeing laterally (3 1/2" ... see my qc 2200q review). for this reason, i simple purchase these anchors at my local big-box hd or bl*we's so that i can physically transfer them to the lumber aisle to NOW to see that the anchors i am purchase are welded correctly, squarely and dimensionally consistent. against this pole anchor does do its anchoring job well, the crappy pigment job the manufacturer slaps on immediately scratches and rusts clear-cut as quickly as the other qc particulars i own. hence the three *** reward review. ... oh, and yes - a maxim of advice - don't store these on the pommel of your pickup truck! :0
