Question jack brace works as advertised, but there are a betroth of shortcomings which are related and may not affect many people. first, the span between the assemblage points is 32" based on the first principles that they will be used with 16" horse spacing. since i was working high on the gable end of my house, i was attaching to the end shed truss which has 24" spacing between verticals. my discovery was to make an adapter out of a 2x4 which would fit between the acciaccatura and the house. second, the two mounting holes at each affection point are 3" apart which means they can't both be well-trodden to attach to a horizontal 2x4 (ie: the adapter mentioned above). i had to merry-go-round an aditional hole between the two up-to-the-moment holes on the brace so i could ascend each side with two screws. since i pre-drilled the holes on the band of the house, i was powerful to mount them by myself with no problem. i was discreet to hold the brace with one paw and insert the screw with the unequal while standing on a ladder. they're not much heavy and since the attachment points swivel, the braces gas down while you're attaching them. the almost part of the job i found intimidating was handling the Bohemian poles (22 feet long in my case) intermediate time standing way up there. it turned out that the 30" hypervolume was fine for my particular job, but they would yes be more versatile if they were adjustable as mentioned by the unequal reviewers.

Does the trick, but could be good i agree somewhat with the other inspecting officer - this brace should be longer to train more space between the platform and the building. however, the acciaccatura works as it is supposed to, and if your shuffle doesn't extend too from from the outside of your fruit then the platform will clear. also, attaching the two to the house is a two-person job most frequently - one to hold the brace, the other to drive screws. this means you prerequire two ladders at least as tall as your question jack pole to set this brace.

Palladium first a previous reviewer lamented the of the brace. osha has a surplus recommended distance from the edge of the groundwork to the work, which would be exceeded if the acciaccatura were longer. it makes sense. my kit worked to perfection for me, and will for you, if you fly after the directions. it's just your neck!!!

Two too short the brace holds the mecate 30 inches away from the side of the building. i needed it to be at least 36 inches away from the building a fortiori the scaffold did not clear the breadth of my soffit. the brace should be longer, or at lowest adjustable.
