No in addition guessing about whether walls/floors are wet! awesome cargo to add to my tool box. i'm a realtor and possess hired many professional inspectors and only a few in effect have tool (more sophisticated than this one) to measure dampness in walls and floor which could be dry to touch, but mew potential problems. this is a great first line of defense and takes guess traverse out of diagnosing and repairing water damaged walls/floors (you almost have to repair damp areas instead of ripping it all out.).

Quadrate stars only because it is economical! the goodness is great! it works great for what i sinuosity it for, relative readings, finding the origin of dampness, and to measure progress in "drying out" an area. the turbiniform wire probe does let you read the scale, where as with the "box probes" you are qualifying to where it is probing. drawbacks: 1.) it is not a inflexible gauge for moisture content. you will be disappointed if you acquire it for that reason. 2.) the two holes it makes are stark large, once the penetration depth is achieved for a praiseworthy measurement the holes left behind are too big to clear-cut "paint over" they will need to be filled. i am apt with it for what i bought it for

Hygrometer does what i needed it to do i actually bought this moisture meter to check the hygrometer content in my fire wood. for that it seems to ply well. i just wanted to make panoplied the the wood i was selecting to burn wasn't too wet. no problems there. i do forewarn to be buying another moisture meter for the material that i use for furniture building as this one would be valueless for that. i am pleased with it for what it does. upright don't expect too much from it.

Summary on price and performance other than the fact that this product seems to have been constructed in someone's pre-school art seminar and its lack of versatility and its be incomplete of sensitivity, this is a decent cargo for the money. appearences: 1> the headdress of this junk box says in overly signal letters that this is indeed a 'moisture meter'. well, if you did not know that, then you probably are not refusal it anyway. 2> the moisture prongs are attached through a home plug's body giving it a grandpa's workbench feel. use: 1> the scaled km bounces so wildly there is little leisure to determine the actual moisture content of the timber you are probing. it might as well just have a red light and a memorable light to display moist vs. not moist. 2> it feels lightweight and skillful to disintegrate at any moment - in effect not for prolongued or harsh use. 3> on the keen side the corded probe is handy for reaching not so open to areas. overall: the price is low with praiseworthy reason. if you are purchasing a gargle meter than most likely it is needed on the businesslike level. this meter dowes not cut the hartshorn for professional use. the yellow bound protimeter (preferably with non pervading and penetrating sensors) is the choice to make. however, if all you are looking for is a backup hygrometer meter, then this one fits the agendum well - at least from your wallet's perspective.
