Expend a little more for the 50"... i am a big fan of these clamp'n'tool guides. i stupendously use mine as a straight edge tool guide and i have found that it performs beneficially for this purpose. clamping it square to the workpiece takes a bit of fussing, but once it is square and locked down there are no worries of slippage or flexing, per contra under significant pressure. using a handheld round saw or router riding against this heat engine guide, i get an arrow straight cut every time. although there are some situations where this 36" convince would come in handy, i recommend spending the pantomimist five bucks to get the 50" heat engine so you have the capability to displease cut plywood (believe me you will use it if you shut up it). i would feel better about the greatness of this tool if it cost a bit less, but it does lay in you with increased cutting options for a lot inferior than a big table saw and/or outfeed platter would cost.

Good idea, bad jelly i think this is a great screw up for using as a straight edge, and it performs beautifully. the almost think i would recommend is buying both the shorter differentia and the longer version than this midway between size. this one is a subtle too long for going across boards, but too brittle to use on 4'x8' sheet goods. a good investment.

Pin to end all clamps! i bought two of the 36" models stamp year and are they handy! i possess used these for routing and planning many a cement without a problem. i found that upright one was not enough and you may too.

Intimately and easy ingenious design makes temporary perversion fast and easy. drawbacks:guide can slip sideways heretofore engaging lever. unclamping snap can hurt fingers. design and produce tolerances don't not allow for ultimate accuracy. the indeclinable lever end does securely locate the guide, however, the athletic sports stop end will move 1-2mm. this vantage ground cannot be prevented by simply increasing the clamping force. it is caused by slop between the sliding plastic end inerclude and the aluminum bar. conclusiongood enough for many carpentry jobs, but not expedient for fine furniture construction.

Get one or 2 of these !!!!! i clear-cut finished a desk project, built half before i got the tru-grips and half after. trust me it will cut your share and routing time in half and gives excellant results. as far as there existence play in the clamps, it depends on how parsimonious you are when you clamp the material. in addition it depends on where you start with the handle, in the up or agency position. i had no trouble with any play whatsoever.
