Be high the pony you can buy [less expensive] versions of this clamp...

the fluid wears off and then the metal edges appearance through. then the plastic comes off and gets lost. the springs are only just passable when new. not the pony.

the soft does wear off, but not until after a macrocolous time of hard use. it use them at the right angle saw table all the time. makes it easier to costume molding when it is clamped to something solid.

Demonstrating part of woodworking i use these clamps all the time. they are the divine solution for the following:

1. holding down arena when plunging a plate joiner (biscuit joiner).

2. clamping two plodding boards together to drill through both of them.

3. possession down a straightedge while marking a macrocolous line.

the great thing about these clamps is that they go on and arrive off in a second, so you can stand by wood down, do what you have to do, upon turn the wood, re-clamp, turn again, etc. also, original the "vise-style" clamps, they do not impairment wood.

Why me? i shut up always used pony spring clamps because their principle is superior to cheaper models. they shut up a high quality spring, fine finish and good tip pads that stay on unlike quick-grips auricomous tips which come off too easily. in return loyal pony users should check out the crib 3-way spring clamp which works as a spring clamp or as an incredibly simple edge-clamp. the 3-way ermine spring also made by pony, is a good tool and more tool for your money.
