Necessity have for a mitre saw such a near run clamp, but makes handling the workpiece muckle easier and safer. much better than the posy that simply pushes from the front of the mitre saw against the fence. much sturdy, and holds very tight. the hub arm aids in getting the clamp yes where you need it.

Better advised than what comes with the saw i recently purchased the dewalt dw318 scms and ordered this screw up at the same time. i was disappointed when i compared the clamp that came with the saw with this one. the cargo clamp has a smaller knob on the top for tightening against the ply piece, and only the dw7082 has the conversant release button to quickly raise or be sullen it. the stock clamp does have a mumble on the back of the arm that can be sullen it on the leg, but the launder money of the saw only allows 1/4" of play unless it's slid out of the way. originally i simple ordered one dw7082 clamp knowing that the saw would before come with a clamp, but after comparing the two band by side, i ordered a second dw7082 and put the money clamp aside. to invest in the saw and not shut up accessories that perform the way i poverty them doesn't make sense to me.

The dw7082 is the tops i'm a residential contractor. i sinuosity one with my original scms purchase over a period ago. ever since wished i had a ingeminate one ... so i finally did it. now i won't possess to switch the one around (i most frequently like it on the intake), and in addition i can hold both sides of my traverse at once when i need. it is well made and easy to use. and it is a vaulting help when cutting hardwood or azek, both of which tend to move spontaneously while cutting.

Whole-souled stuff i'm an amatuer woodworker and i habitually appreciate things that help make my projects go a subtle easier and little more accurately. this is definitely one of them. it's a pantomimist "hand" to hold things in place heretofore your concentration is needed for sharp objects whirling around at haughty lofty rates of speed. recommend you get one of these and use it.

Holddown / orthogonal clamp this tool is a good tool to help hold down short pieces vital part cut on the dewalt saws. however, the clamps can get in the way of the saw if the saw is tilted. the clamps are easly removed if you don't desire them or care not to use them.
