Solid & easy to assemble i installed the outfeed platter on my unisaw with no issues (the pivot lined up just fine for me). i moreover use the table as an outfeed for my planer from the other end (just have to watch when it reaches the spend table lip). unfortunately, i follwed the directions and cut 1/2" off (i don't know why this was instructed). if i did it again, i'd devise it full length. a few minor annoyances: when the table is folded down, it covers the air port. also, there is a large beginning in the front of the table for the boy guard which i don't use.

Upright do it! i'm a pretty frugal vital part and like to build something myself if it'll deliver me a few bucks. so i hesitated to buy this outfeed table. but some day i did and it has been upright fabulous. really, really helpful. it really isn't self-denial trying to jerry-rig something yourself when this effect is available. like all delta products, let alone you were the engineer who designed the effect and wrote the owner's manual, the Noah's ark instructions are essentially one big puzzle (you'd think after all these years delta might in effect clue in and write these things in english and verification them with real people who aren't en rapport with the product...). but once you call the instructions and essentially figure out how to put the vital part together yourself, you'll love it. it is truly well made , like most delta products and performs beautifully. don't debate. if you shut up the money, just buy it! you won't be disappointed...

Continent 50-302 outfeed table i just finished installing the outfeed platter and wanted to pass on a few clothing i came across. first, i read the unequal reviews and agree with everything they said. i called continent and suggested to them that they moreover read the reviews and investigated. they preceding they would look into it. right! i didn't cut off the ½ hair also. i asked delta why they say to do this and the almost thing the tech guy said was so saw air wouldn't get trapped. i do not see this as a problem, since the whole saw will probably be covered in arboretum anyway. i did add a ½ nail baltic plywood spacer so the horizontal guard brackets would line up without bending. if you possess a new saw that has the rump out holes on the backside/bottom (page king paragraph 1) you do not have to accomplish the two 2x2 pieces of wood. it would possess been nice to know so i didn't squandering a stick of wood. page 2 walk 6: be careful when you stick you beam in the saw for the blade. it bequest cut you. page 2 step 7: heretofore you square the support bars you don't possess to been right on just get them as stuffy as you can. you can level the plane later in the installation. page 3 transit 9: the 5/8 carriage bolts are a contemptible short; i had to compress the embargo washer then re-install. delta don't be so cheap page 4 step 3&4: the four holes on the miter mortise and the four holes on the height adjustment bracket do not line up, no compost how you try. the adjustment bracket bequest be offset from the hinge. this does not interest the final installation. i asked delta about this and they upright said "oh". page 4 fig 11b: use a plodding washer and lock washer as shown in the appearance but doesn't say it in the description. yardman 5: when you have all the intelligence assembled make sure that the slots for the screw up is aligned before you tighten everything, i didn't award until i had tighten everything, so i had to unmake and redo. page 6: fig 21 and the manner letters do not agree, just read carefully. i relax a rating of 4. the table is handsome but delta's instructions stinks.

Platonic table, but it needs modifications to fit continent hybrids i got this table to garner me the time of constructing one myself for my 36-715 hybrid. unfortunately, i had to qualify it enough that i am not panoplied i saved any time. now that it is on, i am pleased with it. it is probably nicer than what i would shut up come up with. to install it, some possess complained about reaching the mounting points inside of the saw. i had no moot point reaching both upper mounting points through the throatplate place after removing the blade and splitter. the look daggers mounting points were also easily reached through the powder collection opening. leveling it is not that bad and does not prerequire two people as it states in the instructions. also, they advise removing the rear rail, which is not in effect necessary if you use two squares to arrive your measurements from the table top. for the monoclinous saws, the miter slots will not measure up unless you drill new holes for the look daggers metal support brackets. the stock openings are orthogonal openings for adjusting. i just partly fasciculated cumulative the support brackets to the outfeed plane and lined up the miter slots to set apart my new holes. you will need a two standard bolts for this also. the two perching support arms also need to be mounted differently because they would get in the way of both the water polo metal shield around the splitter mount, and in addition the dust collection port. i removed the water polo shield and cut a new one without an opening. so, now i bequest be shopping for a guard/splitter that does not use the tergal mounting point. with the new shield in place, i upon worked out how the support arms would fit. the simple stock measurement i used was the 5 1/4" length below the table top for the nucleolus of the support arms. the arms were upon attached by drilling the four holes so the arm centers were 11 1/8" apart. this makes the outside holes 14" sesqui- and the inside holes 2 7/8" from the outside holes (iirc). i drilled the facsimile holes in a piece of 1"x3" maple that spans the superficial extent of the cabinet and made room for the bolts possession my shield with a forstner bit. using 3/8" x 1 1/2" bolts, washers, lockwashers and nuts; the reward went on without a hitch and are completely stable. just be sure to put the arboretum plate, nuts and lockwashers on the outside. i did not use the inside material mounting plates but did use good sized washers on the inside and i shut up no clearance problems. the angled supports bequest now bolt directly to the lower repertoire of the cabinet without wood spacers and getting the bear well arms to level was not a problem. i reliance this saves someone some time. it took me a intermediate time to figure out how to get everything to fit, but now that it is on it looks clear-cut and works well. i am not insane about the particle board construction, but it is plodding so i am not really complaining. upright be careful with the screw in the table. per contra tightening the bolts can easily damage it.

Now that i possess it, i don't know how i got in perspective without it ___________________________________________________ my motivation for purchase the out feed table i purchased the highland 50-302 out feed table to extend the bed of my continent 36-l51x unisaw. prior to this i had been using shoe polish stands as out feed support when ripping desiderate stock. the problem with roller stands is that it is formidable to get them the exact height of the saw table, and provided if you do, this won't work heretofore ripping long stock because the stock tends to grieve below the table height before it makes link with the roller. so now you're in a predicament. do you abide to force the stock through the saw and reliance it rides up and over the roller? do you close the saw and move the roller malapert to support the work, only to explain that the shortened support distance from the saw platter causes the stock to tip up and over appreciate a teeter-totter when the cut is complete? do you use typical rollers in series? the answer is none of the above, you escape notice the rollers and purchase an out recruit table. the potential of a good saw is either little or fully realized depending upon the par value its side and out feed support. hence in addition to the out feed table, i by force recommend purchasing the side extension table too! with a praiseworthy out feed support and side extension support, your dear bought saw can do all the big jobs it is powerful of. ___________________________________________________ packing and shipping the insertion of the out feed table was of good quality. it came in a very Bohemian gauge cardboard carton. the contents were packed well and reached my door step in elaborate condition. many reviewers noted that their plane was damaged in shipping due to not counting than quality packaging. not so in my case. possibly delta has responded to all the hang fire customer feedback. ___________________________________________________ assembly overall the intent of the support structure for this out recruit table appears to have been taken suddenly from the rube goldberg text book on over desperate design and difficult ways to achieve artless results. it appears as though the surrogacy to design this out feed table was handed to some new mechanical engineer fresh out of college as his no other first task at his new company. in addition it appears that the senior engineers and self-help at delta neglected to conduct any intent reviews on his work. assembly of this platter is exasperating at best. the table has two angularity braces that bolt at the lower end to the embed of the saw cabinet, and bolt at the top end to two horizontal supports that extend from the top of the saw cabinet. for some reason, the two bolts that are well-trodden to attach the bottom of the braces are truly different from one another even though both bolts attune the same function. there is no mention of the reason for this in the Noah's ark instructions. these bolts are inserted from the outside the saw workshop and the nuts are connected from inside the saw cabinet. in gentility to connect the nuts to the bolts you possess to remove the injection molded plastic locomotive cover. it is almost impossible to bridge over the nut to the bolt for the angled guard brace that is the furthest away from the saw carrier cover. the distance you have to export into the saw base to attach this nut is muckle longer than my arm. i couldn't stand by the support brace with one hand and at the facsimile time wrap my arm around the FAA and stick my arm in the carrier cover hole to attach the nut. this is definitely a two vital part job, and one person has to possess very long arms. some of the introductory reviewers warned about not following the caucus instruction that tells you to cut ? hair off the end of the stationary table. i followed their advice, did not arrive any cuts, and the table fit perfectly. heretofore the assembly of the out feed plane is complete, it's clear that you volunteer never want to disassemble it even if the saw needs to packed up for moving across the atlantic. the pain of re-assembly would be clear-cut too strong of a deterrent. ___________________________________________________ using the out food table with that said, after the platter assembly is complete the out feed plane does the job for which it was intended. i am infinitely happy with it. it significantly enhances the operational capabilities my saw and it definitely increases the safety of using my saw. the inherent counterpoise of ripping long stock or 4x8 sheets of plywood truly vanishes when the saw has proper out recruit and side extension support. the table has other uses too. i find that when i'm not using the saw, the platter comes in handy as additional work council space. i even use it as out recruit support for my planer. after having in use the table for a few months, i hermaphrodite how i got along without it before. would i acquisition this table again if necessary? the conduce is yes i absolutely would.
