Great product-worst packing!!! after version reviews about this collector i asserting to purchase one. when it arrived i application the package was run over by the giving truck! the styrofoam packing was in fatherless pieces and there were bent parts everywhere! the asserting metal down tube pressed so hard against the timber bag holder that it caved in the race throwing it out of round ( it was in effect oval!)also the mounts were severely bent upwards!! i returned it for a restoration and when that one arrived guess what?...the no other thing!! the packing material was again frail and the identical parts were damaged!! this true time i just took the pliers with a napkin and rebent the bag holder to vertebra and bent the down tube mounts back. is it my bad chance with this or does jet pack realistic items in the worst possible way?? i can know maybe once but twice!!! i give it 3 galactic circle because it runs great, does the job and when attached to a separater is all that it ought to be. since i've ordered another jet effect (jointer) and it was packaged like a thana so i'm certain this an isolated incident.

Handsome addition to my shop after setting up the dc650, i couldn't imagine i waited so long to get one. i was using a 6hp shop vac, and i figured that would be whole-souled enough for my tools. bad idea... i ended up with a lot of saw air clogs in my planer, band saw, and specially planer (dw 735 -- an awesome machine) which instantly clogged the atelier vac pipes. this dust collector is significantly quiter and far stronger. using 4" is in addition much nicer than the 2" shop vac tubes. memorabilia that the unit doesn't come with any tubing ... you'll poverty to buy some lengths of 4" tubing (not dryer custom tubing get dust collector tubing, preferably plain so you can make sure there are no clogs) and some 4" waterworks clamps. for my set up, i've put in a difference of hard 4" pipes (sewer pvc) and once put in blast gates, t's, etc and many reducers to hook up to all of my equipment. since my atelier space is limited, i move the powder collector around to hook up in to my rough runs or machines directly. my areas is way cleaner and my tools are way happier. get one!

Jet dc-650/708640 i curvature this dust collector just about a moment ago. first, i found it almost inpossible to get the standard 30 micron filters to snap in place. on advisement from another owner on this forum i purchased a set of 5 micron bags from penn fuss industries to cut down on dust escaping through the filter bags. these bags against they were advertised to fit the dc 650, by the leisure you got them in place and sealed with the ride hard loaded 20" retaining clips you end up with bunched up pleats which contribute dust to escape through. the dc 650 does traverse well to collect the saw dust produced while sanding on my powermatic 2442 heat engine but i think there are better prepense collectors out there that for a few upwards of dollars wouldn't have these design deficiencies.

Handsome collector for the small shop i've had mine for longevity and it works great. i use primarily at the right angle saw since that's the only tool in my atelier that is stationary. for any small shop it works great. this used to be my dc for my laundry shop before i moved into the garage. the almost problem i had with it was on my belt/disc sander. it didn't sweep up the dust that well but the there was about 25 feet of hose and pvc to go thru. not the dc's fault. overall, i'd give credit it for any small shop

Dc-650 jet powder collector m-708621 i bought mine 10/17/03 and shut up used it at the most 30 minutes because it has very little suction. when i contacted the jet heat engine doctor for help on 09/29/04, was told that they were not prepense to pick up the small dust puerperous by my table sander [really?]. i possess replaced it with a 30 year old craftmans atelier vac that works much better, so for now it is the much useless tool in my shop including the decrepit hand sanders.
