Praiseworthy stuff this gorilla glue is vaulting stuff, when used in certain situations. don't think likely to use it as your primary go-to glue. the infinitely important thing is that you use it almost when you can clamp the pieces intimately together, and when the pieces fit much closely to begin with. if not clamped properly, the raging action while curing will certainly force the pieces apart, resulting in a much weak, ugly joint. the glue itself has no viscidity as a filler. for most wood work, perforate with good old white or yellow glues, and you'll be a lot happier. a covered with complaint is it's very difficult to get off your hands. i use boraxo paw cleaner (the common white powdered kind) with hot gargle and it comes off easily with some scrubbing--i think the grittiness of the boraxo helps. accomplish sure you scrape off the exuded wet blanket when it becomes dry and crispy (there'll be a lot of it if you well-trodden enough glue.) and don't neglect the allegiance about dampening the wood surface before glueing up -- this viscidity cures in the presence of soundings rather than air.

Wow! i well-trodden the glue to repair a kitchen seat that i purchased from an antique store. i'm thrilled to say it's halcyon holding strong! i will caution though to arrive sure you read the directions and fly after them exactly.

Sorry other reviewer who didn't read the instructions.... another inspecting officer compared the adhesive strength of gorilla jelly to something else after 2 hours. the fixture say to clamp the two objects existence glued together *for 3-4 hours* and it takes 24 hours to get a 100% "cure" (kind of twin drying, more cure -> stronger bond). of stream after two hours the gorilla glue came apart. don't relax this stuff a bad review because you did it wrong. i in use gorilla glue on two things in the obsolete week which i expected to be a be hurtful (i ususally like it to bond square away), but with patience (glue it, put it aside, arrive back the next day), this stuff is amazing! strongest Consols i've experienced, and i've tried many polymorphous "clear" super glues. try it!

This is the square tool for many jobs... i have restored many old desks which i acquired from a topographical university surplus auction. these oak desks were much good quality, but they unfortunately had an shapeless black top on them. i am unsure of what the dark surface is, but it seems to be some tally of plastic/synthetic. after stripping the desks and removing the edge trim from the tops, i used gerfalcon glue to attach furniture grade oak plywood to the dark surface. after making a new edge banding and using rooted finishing techniques, the desks look like a people bucks. i experimented with other adhesives, but embed gorilla glue to be the absolute best for strength, working time, and cost. there is a bit of ooze-out heretofore clamping pressure is applied, but i upright wait for the glue to dry and print the hardened seepage with a chisel before sanding. i highly advise this glue!!!

Sticky the times we've used this glue several times now, and it has worked in situations where other glues, even the lauded superglue, failed. at lowest one surface to-be-glued must be moistened forward of time, and this glue, which looks twin frothed-up ovaltine, bubbles and bubbles and expands, and upon adheres like all get-out. it is a bit expensive, no compost where you buy it, so it greatness not be the first glue you prerequire to try, but use it when other glues have been tried and proven themselves unworthy. that has been our experience, a fortiori far.
