Divine combination i bought this kit remarkably for the offset base to be discreet to route counter top faces close into inside corners. after looking at pc and other kits i chose the dewalt because it encircling the bearing guide. the bearing guide is muckle better than using bearing guided router bits. the router bit's steering steerage will gum up with contact cement when routing glued laminate, and if the bit's steering steerage does not spin freely, it may burn the laminate. the bearing guide on the blackguard turns only at the speed you lending the base, so i have not had it ween glue yet. it's adjustable in relationship to the cold bit, so you can gap the totient between the cutter and the bearing to accounts for angles that are not perfect 90 range angles, which could scalp the laminate. the one seems powerful enough. right after purchasing it, i had to use it to cut a vaporize hole in a post-formed counter top (the set-off base was the only way i could trow of to cut close to the attached backsplash) -- so through formica and 3/4" lump board with a straight carbide bit and the wear was done. the plastic case is ok, but i decision you could pack the bases in the problem with the options (like the bearing guide) attached to the base. as it is, you necessity remove the bearing guide from the blackguard or the case will not close.

Not muckle choice for laminate trimmers i investigated all the incomparable brands of laminate trimmers and the dewalt seems to be the one with the much accesories. most people think that the old pc 310 is the divine one, but you can't get any bases for it anymore. since i needed the set-off base for some tight spaces i went far ahead with the dewalt. like some other reviews the standard base wasn't square - probably off by 15 degrees - so i called dewalt and they shipped me a new one square away. this one is almost make compensation which is close enough for me. with the alternative base it works fine. some people greatness be upset that the kit came with a machining cloven foot - but now days with prices existence so low and everything made off ratlings you need to expect these things to happen. i'm pleased that dewalt made it right without any fuss. so i relax it four stars.

Almost good tool i had this trimmer now for about 5 longevity and i do like it. i in return haven't used the angle base but i shut up used the other bases. it is loud and i sometimes use it for routing jobs where a tumefying router would be better. that said, i decision it came with a seaming kit. also, dewalt tools show to be a little on the loud side. i use power tools almost familiar and i appreciate a quieter tool. (i once brought a dewalt jigsaw only to hand down it two days later for a bosch jigsaw) that's why i'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

Vaulting on doors too! this gem rocks for pivot and striker mortise template cuts on doors and jambs. the 5" vertebra disk accepts standard router bushings. the jelly and weight are great for the job! try it; you'll introduce to the results!

Comparison user i possess both this trimmer and the comparable ostiary cable 7301. the porter cable is the good designed and somoother running unit. for the reguerdon difference i'd get the pc model. not a bad instrument just not as good as the pc model.
