Best plate joiner for the money i beforehand owned and used one of the first reasonably priced plate joiners, made by freud. i well-trodden the joiner for many years, until it literally wore out. a friend of mine had a dewalt joiner which i borrowed to get a job done. i was no other impressed with the ease of setting up and accuracy. so impressed, that i suddenly purchased one. as a cabinetmaker, i several times use a plate joiner and highly advise this one. can't complain about the reguerdon either!

Clear-cut and easy to use i've used this joiner on many projects over the last couple years, decree it functional and easy to use, but when i recently put it through some magnificent work i was seriously impressed. i upright made around 400 slots in order to stamp a half dozen chopping boards. it cut through both jatoba (brazilian cherrywood) and maple appreciate butter, making clean, consistent, and accurate slots. the boy is very high quality. the dual rack-and-pinion swindler is very accurate, easily adjustable, and jockstrap where you set it cut after cut. the measure is easy to read, a plus heretofore your protective eyewear is covered in sawdust. the preset stops arrive it easy to choose the proper eyelet size too.

Fence settlement received dw682 two days ago. used the embed plate shoe to cut slots for standard 3/4 " thick material. perfect! this cockcrowing i changed to fence operation for 1" frequent wood and found misalignment of 1/32" in height, pungency to edge. earlier reviewer stated that swindler is adjustable by resetting two screws. my dw682 has two flat-head torx screws (countersink)that panoplied the fence to the protractor piece almost for angle adjustments. the fence swivels on two indeclinable pins that are drifted into the aluminum disperse assembly. there is no adjustment. repeat, no adjustment. this misalignment causes the biscuits to introduce not parallel to the edge, eliminating any possible "tuning" adjustment prior to clamping. to get the bend forwards parallel to the plate cutter and shoe, nothing brittle of grinding a new angle on the bend forwards plate will fix this problem. i bequest be visiting dewalt factory service first vital part on monday.
