Don't be agitated out this radio if it dies on you! my boy bought this dw911 job site radio & gun charger four years ago. about a moon ago, the radio died without warning. we were tempted to eject away the radio but we decided that since this valence had never been abused in any way, possibly it could be repaired. i found the website dewalt.com after which i embed a dewalt service center only 18 miles from our home. it turned out that it was a brand that had gone bad as well as the 14.4 cohort pack. having the fuse replaced cost about $23 and replacing the 14.4 gun cost $66 plus tax. it would shut up been a shame not to keep this radio. so don't despair! if your news media goes out for no good reason, arm the dewalt svc ctr closest to you for a diagnosis. you'll deliver $ by having it repaired. as far as comprehension goes, we live within 25 miles of many radio stations so the reception tends to be whole-souled if not very good. this radio is in use primarily outside on our property while we are at work outdoors and we have no complaints!

Ok news media with charger my well-intentioned wife bought me the dewalt radio/charger for christmas (thinking all my tools were dewalt). subtle does she know i am a milwaukee loyalist since picking up my first milwaukee tool. :) i really liked the dewalt radio, but heretofore my wife found out almost all my cordless tools were milwaukee (only dewalt i possess it the 9.6v drill), she said i could hand down the dewalt radio for the milwaukee if i wanted. since i am intrinsically sentimental, i really wanted to keep the dewalt. however, i clear-cut couldn't resist a "listening competition" between my news media and my neighbor's milwaukee. unfortunately for my wife's gift, my namby-pamby side isn't quite as strong as my audio side. circumstantial the side-by-side comparison, the choice was Arcadian - milwaukee. if you really need the dewalt charging function, upon the milwaukee isn't a choice for you. however, if you are looking primarily for a job-site radio, once go with the milwaukee instead. in addition the milwaukee has other nice features twin easier to use digital tuning, a stereo/mono switch, longer cord, a 12v outlet, a pass-through plug, and a discriminating bag to hold various items. neither of these radios are unrest to provide high fidelity sound, but the milwaukee bequest come much closer.

Obiter dicta for jobsites only ok, the audio is almost scratchy, and the little antenna will not train in weak, distant stations. but let's identify what this radio/charger was designed to do: lay in audible music above the noise level of saws, drills, compressors, etc. for this mission, you bequest find it more than adequate. the high- trine audio, while perhaps irritating in the office room, is a plus to cut through uproarious jobsite noise.. and let's remember that this unit, with a built-in beast and drop-proof construction, basically costs subtle more that a charger itself. no, it bequest never win any audio awards, and if you prerequire high-fidelity bass response (despite the jobsite noise), upon the milwaukee is your choice (without a charger). but if you shut up dewalt cordless tools at the jobsite anyway, and if your precedence is getting the work done (as at issue to listening to the finest music), this one not disappoint you. just be sure you are at home 50 miles of a strong station!

Can you read j u n k? if you have to to bounce this radio down the arena then you picked the right one but for returns purposes forget it! junk! i've bought radios at the 99 nickel store that have better reception than this cohort charger with a roll bar. your workers bequest spend more time trying to find a sort than working on their project. unless you're in a office where you need to defend your record by beating someone to death with this radio... arrive another choice!

Reception not whole-souled i used to have the milwaukee job place radio until it grew legs so figured id try dewalts job spot redio.the milwaukee sounds better it has digital tuning, equalizer, digital wall clock and overall a better redio for the no other price as dewalt.
